Recently at iCast 2018 a few anglers asked if we’d be interested in sponsoring them. I responded with a simple question, “How do you promote your sponsors?”

This is usually answered with, “I’ll put your logo on my jersey.”

Surprisingly, quite a few anglers begin and end with this response. Oh, some also added, ”I’ll work a tradeshow for you.”

Good to know. We’ll get back to you. Just be sure to leave us your AOL address (smile).

Hard to believe that a lot of tournament anglers still think that adding a logo to their jersey or putting a decal on their truck is all it takes to being a sponsored angler. Sure, most admit that there is more to it than that. But do they know what that is or offer to bring more to the table?

This is quite simply what separates the Recognized from the 10%-Product-Discount crowd.

There are so many tools at your fingertips to help you become more valuable to sponsors. And yes, we know what you’re thinking, “I’m no computer genius.” News flash – most of us aren’t. This is about using what you already know and use.

You're posting photos on your Instagram page that are attracting more and more likes. Your Facebook fans double when you share a tackle tip. Your latest tweet is trending and you’re not even quite sure what that means. People are subscribing to your youTube channel after your latest tournament recap and more people are following you — in a good way. But we know, “You’re no computer genius.”

That excuse doesn’t fly anymore. You have a social network. Yes, you. And when you share with that network, they share. Soon your followers become a following and sponsors are contacting you instead of you chasing them down. Way to go... genius (smile).

Now if there was only a way to bring it all together in one place. That’s what we thought when we started Pro Sites Unlimited.
